Honey Those Shoes Are Not For Walking
It was a rainy day in NYC. I had just arrived from Boston, ready to spend a fun weekend with old college friends. Since we had all decided to start the weekend with a nice dinner, I rushed out soon after checking into my hotel in search for shoes to match my dress for the dinner. Soho was the easy choice. As I walked pass streets of uniquely decorated shop windows and catching glimpses now and then of the equally unique fellow pedestrians, a pair of open-toes 2-inch-heels beauty caught my eye at Miu Miu’s window. They look adorable - the front resembles the shape of a pair of butterfly wings and the dark and light pink colors would match perfectly with my dress. So less than 5 minutes later, I was walking out of the store with my trophy.
The dinner turned out to be great. My only complain at the time was the unexpected rain, causing me to run from where the cab driver dropped me off to the restaurant. But then the next morning, as I was about to put my new shoes back into their box, I realized that one of the heels has been chipped! Replaying the whole night through my head, I couldn’t think of any clumpsy or careless move on my part that would have caused the chip so I decided to bring the shoes back to the store.

Though ultimately, I got an exchange and went home with a new pair of shoes, I would never forget what I learned from the store sales lady that day about Miu Miu Shoes. As she was packing the new pair, she said, “Well, honey, just so you know next time, these shoes are not for walking!”

They’re gorgeous! While I know the clerk and the other commentors may be right in the practical sense that the shoes aren’t for walking, personally, I love to get out on the town in my cutest, highest, pointiest shoes! My feet and my back remind me of my mistake later, but for the time being, I support those that choose to put their best foot (and shoe) forward!!! It’s not uncommon for me to find the “perfect” shoes and only *THEN* do I go looking for something to wear with them! Enjoy ladies…the older we get, the less fashionable our footwear becomes!
Glad you were able to get an exchange by the way!

These shoes are adorable, they are classic but have a fun moderate touch.
However I would agree with the sales woman. I would be afraid to walk for any long period of time in those shoes, let alone in New York City, when they are new and not broken in. I could just imagine the blisters that would be on my feet.
