Shoe Review: Soda Silver Sandals

T.J.Maxx is a great place to find the same designer merchandise as department and specialty stores but for up to 60% less. To show that anyone can find great summer trends at unbeatable prices, my daughter, Macy went shopping “off price” for a summer runway wardrobe. Macy picked up these too cute Soda Silver Ruffle Flat Sandals for only $14.99 at T.J.Maxx (compare to $24.00).  She especially liked that they have a back heel support so they don’t “flip-flop” when she walks. And she thinks they are perfect “to go dancing in” on teen night.  My girls are growing up too fast! P.S. What do you think of the french pedicure I gave her? Rocket XL sent us a T.J.Maxx gift card to facilitate our review. All opinions are our own.

Macy Approved: Roxy Maple Boots

I ended up ordering and giving my daughter Macy these Roxy Maple boots that she wanted from Buckle.com in black/white palid (now all sold out everywhere) since I didn’t receive the Airwalk Flurry Mocs she initially wanted in time. And she loves them! Roxy Maple Boots are still available in Chocolate Plaid Brown and Charcoal Plaid, but are selling out fast… Roxy Maple Boots , $59.62 – $68.95 from Endless.com (way less expensive than what I paid at The Buckle ).  Trivia for the Day: When I was in high school, it was called The Brass Buckle, and I went to college in Kearney, Nebraska, where their headquarters are still located. Roxy’s Maple boot will certainly perk up your casual look. The boot has a comfortable flat profile, an eye-catching plaid upper with bold color accents, and soft faux fur linings for keeping you warm and toasty.

Hand Sewn Spanish Espadrilles

Some of my favorite shoes I wore in highschool were some red patterned espadrilles.  I’ve saved them and even wore them to an 80’s party earlier this year. Now twenty years later, my daughter has hoarded them, and they are practically falling apart. So I was ecstatic (as was my daughter) when Diego Arnedo, owner of Espadrillestore.ca sent me a pair of these Espadrilles with red stripes to review! Thank you! All Espadrilles ( Alpargatas in Spanish) are entirely hand crafted in the small Spanish town of la Rioja, Spain. These shoes are 100% eco-friendly with Spanish materials and have been produced in the same village for centuries . Diego also sent me a picture he took this past summer in his village of his aunt actually sewing by hand a pair of red striped espadrilles… Get your own Classic Espadrilles with red stripes , $29.95. And check out Espadrillestore.ca for more styles and colors!
