Elizabeth and James for Spring 2010

Elizabeth and James is a brand that I find myself bookmarking and adding to my personal favorite’s lists a lot this year. It started with these open-toed boot/sandal hybrids. The allover lace is nice, but that button up the back had me at hello: Elizabeth and James ‘Janet’ $329 at Zappos.com , $325 at Nordstrom.com (There is also a plain  leather version for $325 at Saks) I like the touch of vintage in the buttons paired with its overall modern styling. Then, the ostritch-embossed leather on these booties brought me back for more drooling: Elizabeth and James ‘Jean’ $ 319.20 $399 at Zappos.com ( on clearance at Revolve for $194 ) These are a great Oxford variant for those who love a sexy menswear shoe – love that pointed toe and covered-to-match buttons. So, now that winter is officially (by calendar if not by temperature) over, here are my favorite Elizabeth and James picks just in time for spring. Check out this textured yellow leather.  There’s nothing basic or gloomy here to remind you of winter. Elizabeth and James ‘Layla’ $254 at Zappos.com . Or, how about this pastel mint sandal? It makes me think of light summer breezes and beautiful rain-free skies. Elizabeth and James ‘Kori’ $349 at Zappos , $345 at Saks.com Of course, the little screwhead studs don’t hurt here, either.  They have a nice vintage feel while still allowing the shoe to maintain an open, feminine line. And, finally, I’m back to those adorable up-the-heel, covered buttons; this time in a workhorse style and goes-with-everything spring neutral. Elizabeth and James ‘Jazz’ $263.20 $329 at Zappos.com . Elizabeth and James is officially one of my new, favorite, brands. Authentic Shops: Designer Shoes at Zappos.com Saks Fifth Avenue
